Product Manager - Bioprocessing & Supplements

About the role

This position is located within the Kerry Life Sciences Group, specifically, the Cell Nutrition business focusing on cell culture and bioprocessing applications. The Product Manager is the business lead and single point of contact responsible for products and specific end-use markets, globally. The successful candidate will lead or direct key business initiatives across all functions to achieve essential business goals.

Key responsibilities

  • The Product Manager will play a pivotal role defining and implementing the strategy for Kerry’s Cell Nutrition business and sub-product families.
  • Develop and manage product and service strategies while leading business planning efforts for future positioning and growth of the Cell Nutrition business.
  • Lifecycle management of products to ensure the Cell Nutrition portfolio meets the needs of existing and future customers.
  • Serve as business representative on new product development projects, roadmaps and application data generation.
  • In coordination with strategic marketing, perform market research, identify market trends, understand competitive landscape, and customer requirements necessary to enable and sustain growth.
  • Establish strong relationships with the global commercial team to drive portfolio growth and develop opportunities.
  • Act as an internal representative on behalf of the customer to improve the overall experience and implement required changes.
  • Lead operational improvement activities and discussions with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance, providing business guidance on prioritization.
  • In coordination with marketing and global commercial team members, identify and develop effective promotional and sales tools, lead product training sessions, coordinate marketing communications and plans to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate and promote the company vision and objectives.

Qualifications and skills

  • Technical acumen in cell culture, microbial fermentation, reagents and/or general bioprocessing applications
  • Working knowledge of cGMP regulations.
  • Global Mindset; Ability to work with teams across globe and cultural differences.
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
  • Self-starter with the ability to create and execute plans with minimal supervision. Strong management, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions and embracing changes.
  • Ability to articulate and evaluate multiple complex ideas and align others around a recommended course of action; strong communicator to share vision and plans with others.
  • Ability to work in matrix organizational structure.
  • Ability to build and analyze financial models to forecast and track results.
  • Creativity to distill customer requirements, understand competitive strengths and weaknesses, and develop compelling value propositions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering or Business required
  • Minimum of 5-10 years technical experience in the healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry
  • Sales or marketing experience, additional benefit
  • Experience leading cross-functional regional marketing and sales teams, and working directly with customers
  • Must be able to travel > 25% of the time as needed.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $120.838 to $186.637 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
