About the role
Kerry is seeking to appoint a high performing Account Manager for the Supplement End Use Market in North America. The Account Manager will be responsible for positioning and promoting Kerry’s solution driven product portfolio for the Supplement market, working with a cross functional team, Technical Business Development and Marketing to support sales efforts and growth. The incumbent in this role will work extensively with the customer’s product development, strategic sourcing, marketing, and innovation teams to design customized and value-added product solutions, with a focus on management of contract manufacturers. This individual should be entrepreneurial and have a desire to treat their account responsibilities as their own business. The successful candidate must be able to speak confidently to Kerry’s capabilities while matching these capabilities to the objectives of the customer.
Focused on managing out network of contract manufacturers, enabling growth across private label, emerging brands and mass CPG. In this role, the AM will manage the full suite of CMOs, with a focus on building new relationships across identified strategic players and maintaining base business. This new role will be focused on managing out network of contract manufacturers which is a strategic sales channel for supplements, enabling growth across private label, emerging brands and mass CPG.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve sales goals across the technologies, deliver on a pipeline of sustainable growth for Kerry through a deep understanding of customers and their business practices.
- Establish and track a dynamic pipeline of sales projects (Salesforce).
- Ensure that appropriate resources and actions are recommended to address customer-based issues including competitive threats, product, and service complaints.
- Manage financial and commercial terms and agreements in accordance with Kerry policy.
- Review internal progress and facilitate initiatives to develop and maintain business support information for the account team.
- Establish Kerry as a long-term supplier at accounts by developing, maintaining and expanding strong customer working relationships at multiple levels and functions.
- Participate in development of annual sales budget targets. Strive to meet budget objectives and take appropriate action to achieve and/or exceed sales budget targets.
- Review sales and volume numbers to ensure that there has been no business lost or margin erosion.
- Identify and develop project opportunities with assigned accounts.
- Continually gather pertinent information to allow Kerry Teams to successfully make sound business decisions on the viability of commercial projects.
- Lead the progression of key customer projects by ensuring communication flow between customer and relevant cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with manufacturers on concept development and co-creation across Kerry technologies
Qualifications and skills
- College degree is needed.
- 5+ years functional food & beverage/dietary supplement/pharmaceutical industry experience desired.
- Experience within supplement manufacturing and/or working with contract manufacturers is desired.
- Must have a track record of successful sales execution. CMOs experience is a significant advantage.
- Results oriented toward volume and profit; ability to translate corporate direction into field activity.
- Strong computer skills particularly in relation to analyzing sales data.
- Experience with CRM Tools such as Salesforce.
- Effective Presentation Skills.
- Must be able to travel up to 30%
- Location: Remote, East Coast preferred
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $134,984 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
