About the role
As a Portfolio Manager in Greater Africa, you will own the brand strategy for a portfolio of Kerry products, ensuring that they are effectively communicated and consistently activated across channels.
You will drive commercial growth by developing and executing campaigns that generate leads, build brand equity, drive awareness, and drive revenue & pipeline growth.
This role involves working with cross-functional squads to develop and execute strategies that resonate with manufacturers in the region, both online and offline. You will join a result driven team in a fast-paced environment, where you will have fun getting your hands dirty.
Key responsibilities
1. Develop and Implement Brand Strategies:
- Create and execute brand plans for a portfolio of internal brands in line with Kerry’s Africa business objectives.
- Create and execute a framework for consistent activation of new Kerry solutions for strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional squads, including RD&A, sales, operations and finance, to align brand strategies.
- Develop strategies to exploit opportunities that leverage our portfolio.
- Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of brand activations and campaigns.
2. Brand Activation and Management:
- Activate Kerry-owned brands with customers through online and offline channels.
- Oversee the design and distribution of marketing materials (toolkits, sample kits).
- Analyse market trends and consumer insights to inform brand strategies and positioning.
- Generate monthly reports to arm sales team with insights to open doors with customers.
- Support strategic marketing initiatives in Greater Africa.
3. Content Creation and Editing:
- Develop compelling content for various platforms, including social media, websites, trade, and e-commerce campaigns.
- Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with Kerry’s voice and guidelines.
- Collaborate with creative teams, agencies, and freelancers to produce high-quality materials.
4. Brand Lifecycle Management:
- Manage and track the entire lifecycle of the portfolio of brands, from conception to market execution.
- Conduct market research to understand consumer behaviour and preferences.
- Analyse competitor activities and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Use data and insights to refine brand strategies and improve campaign effectiveness
5. Drive Commercial Growth:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive commercial growth, focusing on pipeline and revenue generation.
- Identify and capitalise on market opportunities (in beverages, bakery, snacks, dairy & meat) to increase share and profitability.
- Collaborate with sales and RDA teams to support revenue-driving initiatives.
Qualifications and skills
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven FMCG experience (3-5 years) in managing a brand, business development, or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of brand strategy, marketing principles, and consumer behaviour.
• Strong competence with digital marketing, trade marketing, project management, stakeholder management and content creation.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and thrive in a dynamic, hyper-paced environment.

Experience:
• Strong experience executing brand campaigns in an FMCG
• Digital marketing and campaign management
• Internal and external communication, marketing or B2B marketing environment preferred but not essential.
