About the role

 

This position will have accountability for responsible sourcing of €4.0 Billion + of ingredient, commodity, packaging, capex and indirect materials and services spend.  Reporting directly to the Global CPO, the successful candidate will lead responsible sourcing for the purchasing function globally, with the objective of leading a best in class program capable of delivering Kerry’s sustainability objectives in an efficient and effective manner through a high performing team. 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Performs talent management
  • Develops responsible sourcing strategies
  • Identifies and develops strategy to close key / core sustainability element gaps
  • Collaborates on responsible sourcing elements of category / supplier relationship management
  • Establishes Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurement objectives in line with regional and global business and function objectives
  • Monitors, tracks and analyzes KPI’s and operating costs to determine and set actions required to meet the objectives
  • Leads stakeholder meetings to ensure all resources have measurement transparency and to set strategy and actions to meet objectives
  • Communicates performance, strategy and actions to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Leads the team in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manages processes / systems
  • Contract management

 

Qualifications and skills

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive track record of leadership
  • Proven experience in hiring, managing and leading a high performance team
  • Solid knowledge of responsible sourcing / sustainability processes and management
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to interact with internal and external executive stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and passionate  
  • Ability to adapt and operate in a changing environment

 

Experience:

  • Successful, multi-year (+15 years) track record within the Manufacturing (preferred) Industry in sustainability or a related field
  • An impressive track record of accomplishments and continuous improvements in sustainability / responsible sourcing, preferably in the food & beverage industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, an MBA preferred
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
