Senior SAP Basis Analyst

About The Role

 

The Senior SAP Basis Analyst will report into the SAP Basis Solution Manager in Kerry. The primary responsibility of the SAP Basis Analyst will be to manage the day-to-day delivery of SAP Basis activities and projects in conjunction with the external Kerry support partners, and internal Kerry support teams.

 

 

Kerry operates a Hybrid working policy, candidates will be required to work from our offices in Naas each week.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of all SAP Basis services and activities to Kerry. 
  • Manage and coordinate the long-term SAP technology roadmap and strategy for Kerry (upgrades, migrations, new technologies, improvement initiatives) 
  • Maintain an understanding of current technologies, their trends, business strategies and capabilities and lead the technical performance of SAP applications. 
  • Perform detailed planning & project management of implementation activities for updates, patching and planned maintenance activities where required. 
  • Provide support for internal and external Audit requirements. 
  • Manage and coordinate the SAP system copy and data refresh requirements (SAP TDMS and otherwise) 
  • Provide technical expertise for ongoing projects and/or the deployment of any required landscape upgrades. 
  • Manage and communicate effectively with the internal stakeholders and external support teams and provide knowledge transfer where needed. 
  • Manage and coordinate the SAP Archiving Strategy for Kerry 
  • Provide technical and operational expertise for Major Incident Management and support the Support Partners to close knowledge gaps. 
  • Provide capability to perform incident & problem management resolution activities as appropriate. 

Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Degree in Information Technology, IS or other related discipline.
  • Experience in an ERP deployment project lifecycle including design, configuration, test, data conversion and implementation of the technical aspects of the solution.
  • Strong Technical Architecture knowledge and experience
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in resolving challenging technical support issues.
  • Strong understanding of running SAP on Public Cloud (Azure preferable)
  • Well versed with HA/DR technologies
  • Good knowledge on SAP NetWeaver stack – Workload handling/Memory management/Sizing
  • Experienced with SAP operations, integration with interfaces/web services, migrations, upgrades etc.
  • Strong Experience in project management

Key Requirements

  • Proven SAP Basis operational expertise at a senior level.
  • Proven ability to plan, manage and coordinate the delivery of SAP Basis services through external vendors.
  • Proven operational experience with SAP NetWeaver
