About the role

As a member of a very busy team, you will manage technical data for new and existing products, ensuring that accurate and timely information is supplied to the customers, R&D, manufacturing and commercial teams.You will provide training for more junior members of the team.You will take on regulatory projects as required.As a Senior Technologist, you will be required to develop expertise and work independently, using experience to solve problems

Key responsibilities
  • Support and maintain “best in class” service for Kerry customers that reflects business needs and supports group policies
  • Generate and manage technical documents (accurately and to tight time scales)
  • Develop an understanding of Food product labelling requirements,
  • Develop an Understanding of suitability checks for raw materials, e.g. Halal, Kosher, RSPO etc.
  • Be familiar with Food Industry structure Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Liaise closely with other internal departments
  • Maintain awareness of all proposed and pending new food regulations
  • Remain aware of all health and safety issues relevant to the job
  • Remain fully flexible to meet business requirements
  • Act as a key technical contact for identified customers, with responsibility to maintain and develop relationship with customer
  • Coordinate response to customer specific regulatory documentation.
  • Advise on issues impacting the industry
Qualifications and skills
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry or related discipline
  • Minimum 2- 4 years of related experience
  • Perferably experience with the Dairy industry
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in SAP and Optiva systems an advantage
  • Fluency in English
