About the role

We are currently hiring a SAP BW Platform Lead to join our Data Engineering team within the Data Science and Engineering Centre of Excellence at Kerry Group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with SAP BW / HANA as architect or developer. You will be able to work across multiple streams managing both Kerry and non Kerry resources. You will work closely with other teams and must demonstrate an ability to deal effectively with stakeholders across different levels of the organization in an effective manner. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the SAP BW solution including the current reporting solutions, enhancements and new developments and inputting into the future roadmap for SAP BI technologies. A key element of your success will be the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where change is constant.

Key responsibilities

• Work with other teams to understand demand, provide estimates and schedule development in the SAP BW system.
• Manage a team of solution architects, and offshore developers to ensure that developments are completed according to functional requirements, on time and to a high quality. 
• Engage with technical teams and hosting partners to ensure the stability of the SAP BW system, ensuring that it is maintained to provide a robust solution to the business. 
• Work with the Data Engineering Lead to establish a roadmap for SAP BW to continue to meet business requirements. 
• Partake in overall architecture reviews to establish how different business requirements can be met offering the best solution for Kerry. 
• Have a close working relationship with the SAP UX Lead to ensure alignment on developments requiring input from both teams. 
• Monitor incidents and service request to ensure that these are progressing and meeting business requirements. 
• Provide regular updates on progress, blockers and potential issues in a proactive manner. 
   

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or another quantitative field.
• Proven experience working with SAP BW, with particular focus on SAP BW on HANA or BW4HANA.
• Experience architecting data models based on functional requirements. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams. 
• Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders and to be approachable to discuss existing or new solutions. 
• An understanding of other data warehousing, reporting and visualization tools and an interest in advances in technology in these areas. 
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
