About the role

The Regulatory Scientist role will support the proteins pillar to deliver our business strategy and growth plans through supporting and maintaining ‘best in class’ legislation service for Kerry customers and internal stakeholders. The role will involve completion of key strategic customers’ documentation, supporting new product introduction, ensuring compliance and maintaining awareness of all existing and proposed new food regulations and issues impacting the industry. The role will report into the Senior Regulatory Manager for proteins globally.

Key responsibilities

Support and maintain ‘best in class’ legislation service for Kerry customers that reflects business needs and supports group policies
Support Kerry’s proteins and IMF business in terms of global compliance and product specific documentation
Generation and management of technical documents (accurately and to tight time scales) for example: Product Specifications (Standard and customer-specific); Allergen/Intolerance Data; Nutritional Data; Ingredient declarations
Understanding of global food product labelling.
Maintain awareness of all proposed and pending new food regulations and issues impacting the industry and the Kerry business
Coordinate response to customer requirements for technical documentation.
Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
Liaise closely with other internal departments
Remain aware of all health and safety issues relevant to the job
Remain fully flexible to meet business requirement

Qualifications and skills

Degree in nutrition, food science, chemistry or related discipline
Minimum 2- 4 years of related experience
Nutrition and / or regulatory experience in the food industry
Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience in SAP and Optiva systems an advantage
Fluency in English
