Description:

 The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of all logistics and warehousing activities across all Kerry’s sites in Europe and Russia. Partnering closely with our Supply Chain function, the successful candidate is expected to develop, plan and execute all sourcing activities. The Senior Buyer will be accountable for achieving continuous cost and performance improvement.

 

As a Senior Buyer (Logistics), some of your duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Building long term sourcing category strategies and external market environment assessment
  • Demonstrating a strong track record of strategic procurement
  • Efficient sourcing of Logistics (road, sea and air) and Warehousing services as required by our business and supporting our overall savings target achievement
  • Preparing, analyse and negotiate complex tender processes and scenario comparisons.
  • Leading negotiation process for all strategic procurement activities
  • Using innovative, and category-specific procurement levers to drive value for our business
  • Capturing real savings in the region
  • Ensuring categories are contracted in line with the sourcing strategy to avoid maverick buying
  • Reviewing and resolving vendor claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
  • Monitoring procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
  • Maintaining day to day relationships with suppliers and partnering with our Supply Chain team to establish supplier performance measures, conducting regular reviews focused on achieving “service performance and value delivery”.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement category management and/or supply chain function, procurement experience essential.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business/ supply chain/ economics or equivalent field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint) and Procurement software (SAP / E-tendering solution).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills essential
  • Relevant industry certifications are desired (APICS/CIPS)
