About the role


This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of passionate food creatives developing new products for the poultry and/or red meat markets.  In this role you will be working as part of the Meat RD&A team based in Naas, developing new products in line with customer project briefs.  

Key responsibilities


  • Working as part of a team to develop market suitable products in line with customer brief, using the Kerry portfolio
  • Work with colleagues to drive proactive development in the marketplace
  • Be able to develop a strong market understanding and knowledge related to ingredients used
  • Processing expertise in Kerry and customer factories - ability to problem solve, think through challenges
  • As part of a team create market leading products based on insights from Chef, Marketing and Commercial teams
  • Making & dispatching finished products for customer with all relevant information and documentation
  • Supporting customer engagement, presentations and RDA based communication

Qualifications and skills


  • BSc in Food Science / Technology or other such related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Previous experience of processing & knowledge of food manufacturing ideally Poultry &/or Red Meat
  • Be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of Flavours and Food Preservation systems
  • Demonstrates an interest in Food (demonstrates creativity, practical skills & enjoyment of food)
  • Full training will be provided
  • Teamwork is essential, the role requires excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to share learnings, manage timelines & feedback results
  • Work cross functionally and departments
  • Be able to travel
  • You should be able to demonstrate skills at prioritising your work, juggling priorities and managing a variety of projects/briefs
  • Have a passion for food and the ability to confidently present information and food products
  • Excellent organisational and PC skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel)
