About the role

We are looking for an R&D Technician to join to Dairy & Dairy Alternatives Applications team based in our Global Technology & Innovation Centre in Naas, Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Support RD&A trials in both the laboratory at bench scale and the pilot plant. Following recipes and procedures to make samples and completing any additional analytical or sensory analysis required as part of the trials.  
• Clearly documenting and tracking results/data from lab and pilot plant trials.  
• Management of raw materials in the Dairy lab ensuring products are in date, labelled correctly and implementing a system to manage the stock levels.  
• Support with laboratory ways of working and the generation of SOPs for equipment.  
• Preparation and shipping of samples and standard demo-kits to customers and internal stakeholders.  
• Support RD&A trials as part of the Application Innovation process for both Dairy and Dairy Alternative Application. 

Qualifications and skills

• Lab or food industry experience  
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team  
• Ability to effectively manage projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment  
• Proactivity and ownership  
• Adaptable to diverse tasks and environments 
• Nice to have: dairy experience
