About the role

We are recruiting for a RD&A Senior Technologist to join our Snacks Seasoning Team based in Naas, Ireland & Portbury, UK. You will be joining a well established and friendly team and will lead the UK & ROI region to drive growth to customer and Kerry business, send sample emails to customers weekly and own/manage specific projects.

 

This role works collaboratively with Kerry business units, and you will gain a wealth of knowledge and exposure across the business.

 

We are flexible on candidate location but you must be commutable to Portbury, UK

What will I be doing?

  • Customer facing role developing cost competitive Snack seasonings utilising top note and flavour knowledge and Taste solutions expertise to meet Business and customer requirements
  • Building Strong customer relationships, delivering customer centric solutions and managing customer opportunities to drive Business growth
  • Knowledge of market trends, restrictions, Regulations, customer requirements and processes. Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies
  • Collection development in partnership with Flavour Technology and Culinary foundations, Flavour Technology Business Development and Portfolio Manager
  • NPD to scale up in factory - Using technical expertise to develop, create, innovate, and commercialise. Link with operations teams to ensure efficient manufacturing of developed seasonings
  • Understanding of the full range of Kerry Technologies and ability to build that into development of Snack seasonings. Leading key internal and external projects building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Work independently on projects/briefs liaising with Account Managers, managing customer expectations, attending customer visits, and ensuring timelines are met - Understanding of project management
  • Commercial awareness to ensure development of cost-effective formula’s providing value to our customers, along with cost optimisation projects to achieve PIP (Profit Improving Programme) objectives in alignment with Regional PIP leads
  • Understand systems and RD&A ways of working including Salesforce (Opportunity management), Optiva (recipe creation), MDG (requesting new or extending raw materials), SAP
  • Mentor, Train and Develop internal talent aligning career development goals with organisational objectives

What do I need to be successful?

  • BSc in food science or equivalent
  • extensive experience in Snack industry
  • Experience in top note development for savoury applications

  • Experience in evaluation of ingredients in food application
  • Strong innovation skills to develop novel solutions and create competitive advantage for Kerry
  • Driven to overcome challenges and develop timely solutions
  • Good commercial awareness and market focus
  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge sharing ability
