About the role

Are you passionate about science and ready to embark on an exciting career in food analysis?

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented RD&A Analytical Technician to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the analysis of food samples using a diverse range of analytical techniques to investigate their chemical and physical properties.

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring all data is meticulously recorded accurately in accordance with established guidelines.
• Assisting in the daily execution of analytical tasks and ensuring the precise calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Maintaining an organised laboratory and chemical inventory to support lab activities.
• Adhering to good laboratory practices and following all health and safety policies.
• Liaising effectively with suppliers and research/scientific staff as required to facilitate smooth workflow and project completion.

Qualifications and skills

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A leaving certificate or equivalent 
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and schedule work to meet demands set by the department
• Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with suppliers and research/scientific staff.
• Experience with handling chemicals and analytical equipment desired, but not essential.
