About the role
We are recruiting for an R&D Processing Lead Probiotics to join the Pro Active Health team here at Kerry.
You will be joining an ambitious and high growth business unit where you will be looking at internal and external processing capabilities, whilst leading teams of experts who are based in Spain and the USA.
The successful candidate will be involved in optimisation processes and looking at how we formulate and build products for downstream. You will also be involved in key projects and as such have the chance to visit other Kerry locations.
Key responsibilities
- Support for Vegetative Probiotics Processing Science
- Oversee End-to-End Processing technical support Optimize Downstream Processing
- Establish and Support Internal Production: Focus on production optimization
- Support External Production: Collaborate with Third Party Manufacturing Network for vegetative probiotic production
- Provide Technical Product Support for Commercialization
- Manage the R&D Team
- Govern Product Processing Parameters: Oversee release criteria captured in TDS & COA

Qualifications and skills
- Vegetative probiotics processing science and technology expertise and experience
- Expert in downstream processing of probiotics, with a strong knowledge of the end-to-end process. People management capabilities and experience.
- A degree in microbiology, biotechnology, food science, biochemistry, engineering or a related fields.
- A Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field can be highly beneficial
