Key responsibilities

  • Drive & direct development of Meat end-use market growth strategy & engagement.
  • Gain in-depth understanding of Kerry’s business, the market, customer & competitive landscape and provide insight on potential new growth opportunities, threats, acquisition targets, product innovation and market expansion within the end-use market.
  • Work with the EUM lead to tailor the total Taste & Nutrition proposition for the Meat end use market to ensure Kerry is best positioned to win.
  • Development and implementation of GTM plans and execution of priority push and pull initiatives within the business.
  • Work with the country / channel marketing teams to understand the local market differences for the Meat EUM and factoring these into the strategic growth plans, proposition and activation plans.
  • Work with the Regional marketing and Commercial sales team to build marketing-to-marketing relationships with Kerry’s key customers, allowing for a deeper understanding of our customers business and the ability to advise on customer engagements.
  • Use the Market Insight Presentation process – direct delivery of high quality, trend and insight driven customer centric presentations and events to include trends presentations, technology presentations, etc.
  • Budget management and management of key performance metrics against business objectives and strategies.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop team members

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  MBA preferred
  • 5 plus years progressively responsible, post baccalaureate experience in related capacity or food industry role
  • Experience in CPG or food ingredient industry within a business development and/or strategic marketing role
  • Proven project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate 3-5 year strategies and turn them into clear compelling actionable annual business plans and results
  • Demonstrated ability and success in Innovation strategy development and NPD
  • Strategic planning and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written)
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Leadership and management (of employees, projects and agencies)
  • Creative, innovative and dynamic with leadership qualities necessary to drive growth and develop talent
  • High customer focus and insight orientation
  • The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and act tactically
  • Proven resource optimization, team management and development skills
