About the role

Exciting new position in the Kerry Applied Health & Nutrition business - this role oversees Business Development in Northern Europe for our ProActive Health business. This position offers the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of Kerry's growing Functional Foods, Beverage and Nutritional supplements business.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage and grow the ProActive Health technologies via a robust Business Development push with our Kerry Taste & Nutrition “go to market” structure. This will entail working with the Kerry sales team throughout Northern Europe, with the responsibility for UK, Ireland, Germany, France and Scandinavia.
  • Build a robust opportunity pipeline in both the nutritional supplements and functional foods end use markets for ProActive Health by:
  • Leveraging Kerry’s “go to market” footprint in priority European End Use Markets (EUMs) including; Nutritional Beverage, Nutritional bar, Savoury Snacking and Dairy
  • Build an awareness of Kerry’s emerging presence in the functional foods and nutritional supplements category by:
  • Being a strong ambassador / educator internally within the Kerry organisation
  • Externally: Developing strong customer alliances and promoting the presence of Kerry in  this category via participation at key industry events (e.g. tradeshows, seminars, conferences)
  • Manage and grow the existing ProActive Health business in Europe by working with our appointed functional foods and nutritional supplement distributors:
  • Keep abreast of industry trends in the functional foods / nutritional supplements category
Qualifications and skills
  • Approximately 5 years’ experience in the functional foods, beverage or supplement industries
  • 2nd European language is highly desirable - preference for German/French speakers
  • Life Science degree qualified, at Masters level or above will be an advantage
  • This position will require approximately 50% travel
  • Willing to relocate to Northern Europe / Ireland if needed

  • Displays a passion for the functional food / nutritional supplements category and has a keen interest in the topics of nutrition and general wellness
  • The ideal candidate will have strong insights into the European functional foods and nutritional supplements category, with excellent industry knowledge, has developed a strong network of contacts and is becoming recognised as an emerging talent
