We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and passionate Business Analyst to join our team. A highly visible role that sits within Finance and works across key points of contact in Finance, HR and RD&A to create reliable, accurate and fully audit ready files and tax credit files to be submitted to third parties.

The Role:


You will be involved in the data integrity and audit preparation process, operating across the business and collaborating with key stakeholders. There will be an opportunity to enhance current approaches and processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency. 


The primary responsibility of this role is working with a senior finance manager to take ownership of an end to end process that will be audited by third parties.


  • Create a programme of work with timelines and deliverables agreed with key stakeholders.
  • Project management of the audit process.
  • Preparation of complete audit files, to be returned to third parties according to their requirements, subsequent sampling and assistance with the audit, while remaining GDPR compliant.
  • Management of a SharePoint and data repository for training information, including data management of Training matrices incorporating control checks.
  • Monthly review of training costs from various sources, incurred across all functions for inclusion in audit files and reporting.
  • Bi-monthly analysis of and reporting on tracked Training time.
  • Monthly comparative analysis and reconciliation of training data recorded on two systems.
  • Development and rollout of communications and training for specific communities to ensure data is entered into relevant systems accurately.
  • Report building and periodic reporting, against agreed schedule, using inhouse systems.
  • Review of project information, assistance of preparation of regular estimates and assistance with projections.
  • Liaise with core teams in Corporate during Audit file preparation.


Your Profile


  • Qualified in Finance, IT or Business-related discipline
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Knowledge of SAP, Salesforce and BI reporting is desirable, training will be provided
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Proven record of delivering on projects and achievement of results
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Motivated self-starter with the determination and drive to succeed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong ability to work well in a team and on your own.
