Logistics Operator

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Operator in our Kerry Team in Menstrie, Co. Clackmannanshire, Scotland.

It is a full-time, permanent position based of a shift work, rotating early (06:00 – 14:00) and afternoon (14:00 – 22:00) shifts, Monday to Friday.

Our Kerry site in Menstrie has a manufacturing history dating back over 250 years. The current plant has been largely developed over the last 30 years and is now a highly sophisticated, leading edge semi continuous process plant with high levels of automation, process control and hygienic design standards. We manufacture yeast-based ingredients for a variety of food and cell nutrition applications, as well as being a leading supplier of yeast to the whisky industry.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities of Logistics Operator will include:

• Moving finished goods, packaging and raw materials to and from production areas and the warehouse.
• Operating forklifts and pallet trucks.
• Occasional manual handling, the heaviest bags are 25kg.
• Conducting visual quality checks of products and materials.
• Participating in stock count activities.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Recording data on SAP, Excel, and paper logs.
• Cooperating with other departments on the site.

What do you need to be successful?

• HGV Class 2 license - required.
• Valid CPC license – required.
• Previous experience in warehousing - preferred.
• Experience in operating forklift and powered pallet truck.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good communicator
• Good working on their own
• Good time management
