About the role

Located just outside of Chicago, our Melrose Park location is part of our Meat division and creates batter blends, pastry blends, and bread crumbs. We are a fast-paced, never a dull moment manufacturing facility that comes together as a team to get the job done. With a growing portfolio, comes the need to grow our team! What You'll Do

  • Regularly handle objects weighing up to 50+ lbs. on a frequent basis. Able to perform part bag and full bag setups for Wet Cell.
  • Understands and preform the premix process. Understands how to read and to properly record information onto the Manufacturing Order.
  • Operates propane gas industrial fork truck equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
  • Properly communicate with the Wet Cell team to insure product is completed in accordance to the Schedule/Niteletter.
  • Supports Wet Cell to transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
  • Stack goods/products following inventory control instructions. Stack empty pallets, label products and occasionally palletize by hand.
  • Perform daily pre-operation check list and equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment, and/or replacing liquified gas tank.
  • Perform a wide variety of miscellaneous duties which may include: sweeping, clean-up, removing garbage, taking samples and etc.
  • Participate in safety programs such as; safety orientation, safety committee, ergonomic committee, monthly regulatory safety trainings and Eye for safety program.
  • Follow all Kerry safety, environmental and regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines. Must be punctual and attend scheduled hours as instructed.
  • What you'll need to be successful and safe: A high school diploma or equivalent or previous work experience with measuring and detailed documenting is required. Ability to lift 50lb bags. This is a highly physical role and you'll lift 4 to 5 50lbs bags of ingredients per minute by hand. Because the safety of you and our team is important to us, successfully passing a drug and background screen will be required. Do you know the value of a great team?
