About the role

This role is critical in enhancing our reputation as an employer of choice in the food and beverage manufacturing industry in Philippines. The role will focus on the experience of our employees and our reputation as the first choice for the best talent in the food and beverage sector in Philippines. 
 

Key Responsibilities

 

Employee Experience & Engagement:

  • The role will be responsible for the highest quality of employee experience for our employees in Philippines across the employee lifecycle.
  • This will be delivered by working collaboratively in a matrix with our Global Business Center (Shared Services), our Centers of Excellence, Functional HR Partners and Country & Regional Leaders.
  • Drive Country Employee Engagement in Philippines by working with the Country Leadership Team to design and enable a Country Engagement Plan. The role will be responsible to hold leaders to account on Delivery against plan, particularly cross-functional initiatives which impact the country engagement scores. 
  • Champion and promote the participation of the Country Leadership Team in Country Engagement committees for all relevant community and employee engagement activities.

 

People Processes:

  • Ensure the execution of all people processes required (regionally and globally) as per timelines and qualitative expectations.
  • Ensure timely and qualitative execution of in-country Pay Planning and Talent & Succession, with adequate leader enablement and employee communications.
  • In conjunction with people managers, ensure every new employee to Kerry Philippines has a robust onboarding and induction experience.
  • Compliance on all Statutory Requirements:
    • Ensure our compliance on all statutory requirements and people and labor related legislation.
    • Act as a liaison with local government authorities, third-party manpower suppliers and Leadership team to ensure our full adherence to legal standards and (as practicable) our adherence. to SMETA & Ethical Standard requirements outlined by our customers/auditing boards.
    • Provide advisory support to the business in conjunction with internal and external legal counsel to close any legislative gaps/ labour cases (as per need). 
    • Oversee union/collective employee issues and enable managers and employees in addressing employee grievance/concerns, on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum qualification) in Human Resources Management, Psychology or relevant. An appropriate professional people qualification CIPD, SPHR or PHR or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Experienced professional, with minimum 5 years’ experience in a HR Business Partnering role that has included change management and senior stakeholder management.
  • Deep HR knowledge with experience in managing complex escalations and decision-making, in an international, fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Individuals familiar working in a matrix MNC environment and with exposure to working in an HR environment which has the three pillars of HRBP, COE and GBS will be strongly preferred.
  • A solid understanding of labour legislation and compliance in the Philippines.
  • Experience of leading and working with geographically-dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrated influencing skills and a proven ability to quickly engage, inspire and influence at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of complex People / HR transformation programmes. 
  • Learning agile, with proven ability to work with ambiguity; and maintain effectiveness during high-pressure times.
  • Strong People skills including communication skills, listening and coaching. 
  • A digital-first mindset, considers how digital can improve the HR function at Kerry.
