About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Quality Team in Carrigaline, Co. Cork to support a project involving the relocation of production to a new site following an acquisition.

The successful candidate will be required to work in the quality assurance department of the food manufacturing plant which produces Enzymes, Beverage Process Solutions & Ingredients, for use in the food, beverage and animal nutrition industries.

What will I be doing?

  • Quality systems & hygiene auditing.
  • Approval and disposition of out-of-specification material.
  • Providing training for site on food safety, quality and hygiene.
  • Microbiology-related technical support.
  • Root cause analysis & resolving non-conformances.
  • Coordinating site change control & validation programmes.
  • Maintaining the key quality standards on site – FSSC22000, Fami-Qs, Kosher, & Halal.

What do I need to be successful?

These include:

 

  • Degree qualified, at minimum, in Food science, Microbiology or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years practical experience within a Q.A. role in a food or Biopharmaceutical manufacturing site.
  • Needs to be results orientated with good planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience of coordinating HACCP / pre-requisite systems & principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of Quality Systems.
  • Ability to work with SAP QM and advantage.
  • Good communication/interpersonal skills essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills can work on own initiative & also as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude is essential.
  • Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good computer skills including MS Excel, Word, & Access.
