About the role
Under the responsibility of the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor coordinates all activities and team members engaged in the warehouse.
Key responsibilities
• Supervise team members to ensure effective warehouse operations;
• Oversees all warehouse activities (order picking, planning of incoming and outgoing shipments) to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers;
• Ensure that Kerry’s standard operating procedures are followed;
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, HACCP, food safety and other company guidelines;
• Oversee inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products (fresh and capsule products) and indirect products;
• Is responsible for inventory control (i.e. cyclical counts, variances, adjustments);
• Prepare various reports (inventory levels, OTIF, etc.);
• Approve logistics expenses based on budget (vehicle maintenance, warehouse/logistics supplies);
• Work closely with the supply chain team to maintain required inventory levels and prevent inventory breaks;
• Actively participate in audits and inspections;
• Seek to be involved in continuous improvement activities and processes to support the organization’s progress on safety, quality, customer service and cost objectives;
• Attend and participate in appropriate safety meetings, report any safety incident/accident, personnel or otherwise, and understand, apply and follow all company and plant safety policies and procedures;
• Actively participate in the optimization of warehousing/logistics activities, flows, processes, transportation, etc.;
• Work closely with the Kerry Transportation Planner and Sales team to ensure smooth import and export operations;
• Oversees the management of refrigerated units to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers;
• Act as SAP WM Super User for the warehouse team
• Develop and implement warehouse policies/procedures. Responsible for training the warehouse team and new employees;
• Supervise the maintenance of logistics equipment and delivery vehicles;
• Any other related tasks as required by the organization.
Qualifications and skills
• Education (DEC or BAC) in supply chain management, operations management or other relevant training;
• Minimum of 5 years experience in warehouse supervision;
• Excellent ability to work in a complex environment and manage ambiguity;
• Motivated, demonstrated leadership, team spirit, with strong desire to succeed;
• Fluency in English and French (spoken and written);
• Proactive, organized, proactive and follow-up with good interpersonal skills;
• Excellent data analysis, reporting and presentation skills;
• Excellent knowledge and ability to use MS Office suite;
• Experience using SAP enterprise planning system (an asset)
