What You'll Do:

 

The Maintenance Planner/Buyer works closely with the maintenance and production teams to ensure that production receives the prompt, efficient and quality service from maintenance required to operate at a high level of efficiency.  This is achieved by accurately defining and estimating work requests, maintaining inventory, purchasing parts and the materials required for preventative and predictive maintenance to be completed on time and cost effectively. Maintenance of the SAP system to prepare and distribute meaningful reports. Success is measured by:

 

  • Labor effectiveness of the area to which assigned as measure by work sampling.
  • Orderly placement of work orders on the schedule(s) and their completion within the specified time frame.
  • Jobs worked and completed per schedule.
  • Improvement in mean time between equipment failures.
  • The accuracy of estimates of labor and material.
  • The improved use of labor and improved plant condition as expressed by a reduction in emergencies, overtime hours worked and in unscheduled labor worked.
  • The timely and accurate preparation and distribution of meaningful control reports.

 

This position offers a Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM schedule, Overtime is available, not mandatory.

 

What You'll Need to Succeed:

 

  • High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma, higher education helpful
  • Technical school training or 3+ years of similar maintenance required. 
    • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Adequate craft knowledge to estimate man hours and materials.
    • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
    • Good administrative and mathematical skills
    • Food Industry experience helpful
  • Maintenance planning & scheduling experience.
  • Ability to clearly communicate detailed information, such as defining scope of work.
  • Parts inventory and purchasing experience.
  • Maintenance work orders management.
  • CMMS systems management.
  • ERP management, SAP experience ideal!
