Role and Responsibilities

About the Sub-Regional Engineering Role:
⦁    Involved in implementation of engineering standards and playbooks, including standardised KPIs for all Engineering pillars
⦁    Organising, planning and managing the development of sub-regional site operational engineering teams;
a.    Rolling out Global Engineering harmonised standards in a sustainable manner.
b.    This is a development journey for the Sub-region to bring Site Operational Engineering teams together to a common way of working, reporting and overall improvement.
c.    Primary goal of this initiative is to implement both Kerry and Industrial common practice as a means of supporting manufacturing performance through stronger, better organised, and measured execution on plant shop floors
⦁    Implementation & Audit / Compliance for Engineering Processes, Standards and Templates.
⦁    Coaching / Oversight of selected sub-regional projects, as required, to assist them successful delivery from Design through to Handover
⦁    Close collaboration with Sub-Regional Operations, QSHE and Procurement functions
⦁    Leveraging supplier-led innovation and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and partners
⦁    Facilities management ensuring development, continual improvement and best practices across the sub-region
⦁    First point of contact in Operations requirements in Operational Technology (Automation, Machine assisted processes) and Sustainability


Sub-Regional Engineering Responsibilities Area
⦁    Technical assistance to sites on engineering solutions and building technical cases for maintenance and development capital submission
⦁    Site master planning in conjunction with Regional Ops and Regional Engineering
⦁    Asset care and Reliability oversight in conjunction with Regional / Global functions.
⦁    Engineering visual boards and implementing 5S, TPM etc
⦁    Coaching of sub-regional site engineering disciplines
⦁    Site Engineering performance management, Organisation and skill management.
⦁    Energy optimisation and implementation of technical solutions to support corporate sustainability goals
⦁    SME and ESP engagement into sites requiring that expertise
⦁    Member of the Regional Technical Review group for larger Capex investments
⦁    Championing engineering continuous improvement Global & Regional Technical initiatives

Qualifications, skills and experience

⦁    Minimum third Level Degree in an Engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial)
⦁    Minimum 8 to 10 years’ Engineering experience in a Multinational environment
⦁    Exposure to a capex projects of magnitude greater than 5m Euros
⦁    Must have experience managing and conducting projects in multi-countries simultaneously
⦁    Must have previously worked in the Food / Flavour / Food Ingredients related industry
⦁    Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
⦁    Good foundation in project management tools
⦁    Cross functional team’s management and engagement
⦁    Strong track record of on-time, on-budget and on-specification delivery of projects
