People Data, Compliance & Analytics Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced People, Data and Compliance & Analytics Lead (reporting to Global Employee Experience Services Head and leading a team of analysts) who will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient management of HR data to include data capture, data entry, adherence to legal standards, industry regulations, and internal policies. You will also will play a critical role in safeguarding our organisation’s reputation and minimizing risk. Your responsibilities will span HR data management, privacy, ethics, and compliance across all aspects of the HR Employee Lifecycle and Employee Experience Services teams.

You will be collaborating with HR teams, management, and other stakeholders to foster a positive work environment and uphold legal and data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Data Management Governance & Privacy:
    • Lead and supervise the HR data management and analytics team
    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into HR systems
    • Adhere to legal and data protection regulations
    • Understand and maintain HR systems landscape including integrations

 

  • Training and Compliance:
    • Ensure team members are trained on data entry procedures
    • Monitor compliance with organizational policies and procedures
    • Stay informed about legal and regulatory changes affecting HR data
    • Design and ensure delivery of compliance training programs for employees, contractors, and partners
    • Foster a culture of compliance awareness and ethical behavior throughout the organization.

 

  • Policy Development and Implementation:
    • Develop, review, and enhance company policies related to data privacy, security, and compliance.
    • Collaborate with legal, HR, and IT teams to ensure policies align with global regulations and industry best practices.
    • Implement policies consistently across all regions and business units

 

  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Establish monitoring mechanisms to track compliance metrics and identify trends
    • Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management
    • Address any compliance violations promptly and effectively
    • Working with your functional stakeholders define analytics roadmap for people data working with the Data, Science and Engineering Team and external HRIS vendors to design and implement.

 

  • Third-Party Due Diligence:
    • Evaluate third-party vendors and partners for compliance risks.
    • Implement due diligence processes and monitor ongoing compliance.

 

  • Audit and Investigations:
    • Coordinate internal and external audits related to compliance
    • Investigate incidents, breaches, or allegations of non-compliance
    • Implement corrective actions as needed

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and industry associations
    • Represent the company in compliance-related matters
    • Coordinate with other HR teams (Benefits, employee relations, compensation & benefits)

 

  • Continuous Process Improvement & Digital:
    • Identify opportunities to improve and automate HR data management processes
    • Implement best practices for data accuracy, compliance and efficiency

Requirements and Skills:

  • Relevant degree (e.g., Bachelor’s or University Degree) in Business, Finance, Law, or related field
  • Certifications such as NAFTA, CPA, EAR, ITAR, IAPP, ACFCS, or ACAMS are advantageous
  • Proven experience in global compliance, risk management, or related roles
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams
  • Proven experience as a compliance manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of global compliance standards, data protection laws, and industry regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex legal requirements
  • HRIS and data integration technical knowledge and experience

Person Specification or Key Competencies:

  • Service Delivery
    • Proven ability to lead the deployment of a Data and Compliance service delivery model across multiple geographies
    • A passion and interest in emerging trends in Data and Compliance services and how this can enhance business performance and customer experience, including opportunities for synergies across regions
    • Experience of working in a multi-national and multi-lingual environment, both locally and remotely serviced
    • Management of mass data loading based on business needs 
  • Technology Enablement 
    • Expert understanding of data architecture within HRIS applications - experience using SuccessFactors is essential
    • Expert understanding of data integration technology 
    • Understanding of data analytic platforms 
    • Advanced use of MS Office and other key business tools;
      • PowerPoint to tell a story and make a case for change 
      • Word to build template documents, business plans and branded GBS materials
      • Outlook to apply rules and manage folders, scheduling and diaries, build standardised templates and manage processes
      • Excel including Fx functions, Pivots, charts, data analysis 
      • Visio to create and maintain process documentation
      • SharePoint to create and manage sites and content, upload shared materials and share and engage with projects and other functions
      • PowerBI to interpret dashboards, identify trends and patterns to support business decision making
  • Legal / Regulatory
    • Expert knowledge of Global applicable laws (e.g. CSRD, Data protection laws), employment law and global payroll regulations.
    • Expert in the assessment and application of GDPR and data privacy laws
    • Wide knowledge of numerous global tax regimes, regulatory bodies, statutory rules and regulations including global assignment and expatriate payroll implications
  • Development of self and others
    • Confident giving feedback to individuals, small groups and larger groups including senior stakeholders where necessary to ensure processes continue to be effective and efficient
    • Will be a coach and mentor to a talented and high potential team of individuals, supporting in the setting of tailored, appropriate and stretching personal development goals and career plans. 
  • Language and communication
    • High level of English language proficiency as this is Kerry's most widely spoken language
    • Confidently able to successfully deliver services and have high quality interactions with Business Partners and Customer groups
    • Able to select the most appropriate method of communication to any given situation and tailor approach to increase the likelihood of influence and success
