About the role

As a Global EHS & FSQ Auditor, you will conduct audits of selected sites in accordance with Kerry's EHS & FSQ standards and within agreed timelines. You will ensure compliance with internal audit procedures and foster continuous improvement to maintain a globally aligned internal audit program. Your role will involve participating in auditor team calibration, collaborating with manufacturing sites, addressing non-conformances, reviewing procedures, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the Intelex system and Guest/Shadow Audit programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of selected sites according to Kerry's EHS & FSQ standards and established timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to internal audit procedures and drive continuous improvement to maintain an effective global audit program.
  • Participate actively in auditor team calibration to ensure consistency and rigor in audit practices.
  • Build collaborative relationships with manufacturing sites and relevant functions, applying sound judgment to drive improvements.
  • Support problem-solving for non-conformances identified at sites or within specific functional areas, working closely with regional EHS & FSQ and Integrated Operations teams.
  • Review procedures and quality documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain data integrity, ensuring documentation is current and reflects actual operating procedures, and facilitate ongoing reporting of audit activities and compliance performance.
  • Promote and support the adoption of the Intelex system to enhance the audit environment.
  • Contribute to the Guest and Shadow Audit program through training, supervision, evaluations, and feedback to develop a skilled audit team.
  • Perform GAP assessments for newly acquired sites as required by the region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the global food or pharmaceutical industries with a focus on EHS or FSQ.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role as an EHS or FSQ Manager or Leader.
  • Experience in FSQ and EHS auditing with a strong background in food industry safety requirements and process technologies.

Skills

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of EHS & FSQ principles.
  • Familiarity with best practices at manufacturing sites and global standards.
  • Experience with EHS & FSQ management systems and schemes (e.g., Life Safety Standard, GFSI Schemes, FSSC 22000, BRC, SQF, ISO 14000, OHSA); lead auditor certification in one or more schemes is preferred.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, including audit/risk assessment and behavioral safety.


Soft Skills:

  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coordinate audit schedules across multiple jurisdictions in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Strong team leadership skills with a focus on coaching, development, and fostering high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in managing third-party communications and engagements with regulatory bodies.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with experience handling complex issues requiring comprehensive data analysis.
  • Conflict management and resolution capabilities.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset with experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.


Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and interact effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to balance task orientation with relationship management in communications with sites and regional partners.


Mobility:

  • Willingness to travel internationally approximately 70% of the time, with flexibility to adjust travel plans as needed.
