Work Location:         1Powerhouse, PJ (5mins walk from MRT Bandar Utama)
Reporting To:           GL Controller
Working Hours:        2.00PM – 11.00PM / 3.00 PM -12.00 AM

 


As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be responsible for accurately recording fixed asset activities for the assigned EUROPE region, working both independently and as part of a team. This role is essential for ensuring tasks are completed timely and accurately in line with the monthly close calendar. You will serve as a key business partner for compliance, tax, and statutory teams, collaborating closely with Country Compliance Controllers, the Group Team, the R2R Team, and across the Kerry Financial Services GBS team.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Monitor of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
  • Perform book closing activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Record fixed assets by creating and supervising a system of procedures, forms, and controls.
  • Validate and record newly acquired fixed assets and disposals in the accounting system.
  • Track, compile, and record project costs at the completion of projects to their respective fixed asset accounts/categories
  • Perform depreciation calculations for all fixed assets
  • Revise and update the detailed schedule of accumulated depreciation and fixed assets
  • Reconcile fixed assets balances at sub-ledger (FA) and general ledger (GL) every month
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for all operational transactions, including PPE, accruals, and general adjustments
  • Perform accounting analysis for asset cost, accumulated depreciation, and depreciation expense for period-to-period fluxes
  • Provide appropriate accounting information to customers/stakeholders/controllers when needed
  • Assist various cross-functional departments within the company in fixed asset accounting issues and queries
  • Support auditors in conducting internal and external audits
  • Review financial reports to identify and explain variances
  • Apply knowledge of accounting policies surrounding fixed assets

 

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience with exposure to working in Shared Services environment.
  • Strong SAP knowledge is a must.
  • Experience in preparing end to end Fixed Asset Transactions and processes.
  • General Ledger experience such as accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Intercompany Accounting and Audit Support (Internal and External) is an added advantage.
  • Master Data Management (MDM) knowledge
