About the Role:

 

The Regional Transition Lead is responsible for leading the transition and change of multiple business services into our Global Business Services (GBS), ensuring objectives are being met according to the GBS transition methodology and process solution framework. This is a 12 month fixed term contract. This role is aimed at experienced programme / project managers who have specific experience in people / process migrations as opposed to system or data migrations. 

 

Key Responsibilities:


Transition Deployment:
•    Develop and deliver detailed transition plans with clear milestones and timelines, identifying interdependencies and in line with GBS Transition Methodology
•    Build and maintain a strong working relationship with business functions and other key leadership Teams
•    Deliver multiple transition projects aligned with the GBS Operational Master Plan, on time, on budget and compliant with the GBS transition methodology 
•    Ensure successful knowledge transfer and work-shadowing between the business and GBS
•    Support the implementation of a Continuous Excellence culture and drive process stabilisation & optimisation 
•    Develop robust working relationships with key process owners across the business

 

Project Governance and Management:
•    Implement the Governance Model established for transition projects to manage performance, relationships and controls
•    Ensure effective project, stakeholder and change management tools and processes are used effectively throughout the transition
•    Provide support on Change Management and Communication for the transition programs
•    Establishing review mechanism to include performance, compliance, risk and transition milestone review

 

Project Management Office Services:
•    Provide consolidated transition status reporting, dashboards and relevant measures at GBS Centres levels
•    Ensure risks are appropriately managed and mitigating actions are in place to ensure continuity of service and minimum disruption to both existing operations and the processes to be transitioned.
•    Ensure that a robust monitoring process is implemented, and rigor is established to resolve process inefficiencies, and capture lessons learned in the deployment phase
•    Perform project quality checks and audits, ensuring compliance with the methodology
•    Manage a common transition documentation repository (project documentation, tools, templates, accelerators etc.)

 

Global Transition Expert Network:
•    Champion the establishment of a Transition Expert Network with members of the GBS Centres to deploy transition projects worldwide on budget, on time and in compliance with GBS methodology
•    Support the development and management of a global talent pool on Project Management skills and Shared Service Centre Solutions 
•    Establish global benchmark of GBS Centres on transition management and GBS solutions deployment
•    Promote transition management best practices across GBS Centres
 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

Mandatory Academic Experience/Education:
•    Bachelor's Degree 
•    Project Management qualification (PMP, Prince2 or similar)
•    Advanced level of English

 

Business Experience:
•    Strong Project Management and Project portfolio Management capabilities with 7- 10 years’ experience (minimum of 3 years which must be in SSC/BPO environment); in a fast-paced changing environment, ideally where transition and migration has been involved 
•    Senior Stakeholder Management (including VP, Director and Manager level) and change management experience; solid network within own functional area, Markets, Region & ICT organizations
•    Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams
•    Senior Leadership skills and excellent track record in developing people

 

Desirable:
•    Experience with CE deployment
•    Experience with ICT implementation
•    Business process engineering and optimization / DMAIC / LEAN
