About the role

Global Business Services (GBS) manages the financial processes for Kerry. Our multilingual and customer focused employees concentrate on supplying cost effective, compliant and value add services to ensure sustainable growth for Kerry. Here in GBS, we work alongside our site colleagues to support the following services: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Site Support, MDM, Finance and Inter-Company invoice processing.

The GBS AR Senior Accounts Executive will report into an AR Team Lead, overseeing the day-to-day collection activities. He/ She needs to build rapport with the internal and external customer & to achieve the result. As part of our collections team, he/ she will be responsible for contacting debtors, organizing payment plans, maintaining paper trails, and planning courses of action to recover outstanding debts.
 

Key responsibilities

  • Keeping track of debtors closely, perform regular monitoring on customers payment promises to ensure timely payments.  
  • Liaise with internal & cross function team to resolve customer account queries & disputes.
  • Making outbound & answering inbound calls to follow up with customers for timely payments.
  • Prepare and dispatch dunning letters & statements of accounts.
  • Managing unapplied cash made by customers.
  • Ensuring all Associate AR activities are compliant to audit requirements.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on customer payment behavioral & to provide projected forecast to AR team lead & treasury team.
  • Perform Month end closing AR balance sheet reconciliation.  
  • Support GBS global initiatives, expansion & process improvement projects
     

Qualifications and skills

  • Candidate must be fluent in mandarin (speak & write) as this role would be covering China portfolio.
  • Senior executive with at least 5 years' experience in handling collection activities. Strong communication skillset
  • Coming from shared service industry would be a plus point.
  • Must be able to come office.
  • Candidate must possess at least a university degree in accounting, commerce, finance and/ or a professional accountancy qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in MNC within collection / credit team in a medium to large organization.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of working experience in a Deductions / Credit Review related job function
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Experience with SAP is an added advantage.
  • Positive and pro-active attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Work on own initiative, recognizing potential problems and seeking solutions.
  • Work under pressure whilst remaining calm and patient.
  • Excellent understanding and daily use of High Radius, SAP and Excel
