About the role

We are currently looking for an Account Manager who will take responsibility for the development of independent and local chains (e.g. coffee, beer, syrups, fruit pure).


What will I be doing?

  • Support the prospecting and “close” new business opportunities through Branded products and integrated solution selling to deliver profitable growth.
  • Support the development and lead the delivery of a portfolio of quality growth projects.
  • Pro-actively defend current business by creating value add initiatives and/or activities to promote Kerry’s value in the business.
  • Support the development of strong strategic relationships within customers’ organisation including Food Development, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and QA / Nutrition and foster counterpart relationships within Kerry.
  • Proactively support the application of the Kerry Way of Selling
  • Take the commercial lead in crisis management situations
  • Support the day-to-day management of the account, supporting and leading the holistic account team to ensure flawless delivery of supplier self-managed excellence
  • Lead out routine customer business reviews with key stakeholders to ensure customer is aware of account activities

What do I need to be successful?

In Kerry we understand that people have very different career trajectories and experiences. In order to be successful in this role we would be looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in sales. 

These include:

  • Business or Food Science Degree / or equivalent experience
  • +4yrs of relevant experience in a sales role
  • Track record of setting and delivering on growth targets and defending existing business
  • Food or Beverage industry specific experience
  • Strong Team Engagement with an indirect team
  • Good Communications Skills
  • Matrix management experience or delivering projects through teams indirectly
  • Strategic Mindset
  • Self-sufficient and able to network internally / externally
  • Strong business acumen
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), and SalesForce CRM system.
