About the role


Work Location:         Karawang, Indonesia 
Reporting To:            RD&A Manager


You will play an active role in assisting the Taste Team, for end-to-end Taste Foundation Technology commercialization to support both internal & external customer request. The opportunity to run full Taste Foundation Technology in liquid, dry-blending, encapsulation, reaction, and emulsion both for savoury & sweet flavours, conduct basic evaluation & sensory tasting with related team, data evaluation & final recommendation of the sample flavours, also provide team with process improvement inputs to always excellence the whole Taste Sampling Team workflows. 


Key responsibilities


•    Provides second level supervision to Indonesia RDA Taste team, providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior members.
•    Contribute & support the development of Taste Foundation Technology for the Indonesian market in-line with the SEA and Indonesian strategic plan.
•    Define technical specifications and requirements for Taste Foundation Technology to enable processing and cost optimization for the Indonesian market.
•    Support the technical progression of key Taste Foundation projects together with flavorist, application, and EUM Team.
•    Central point of contact for Taste Foundation Technology RDA in Karawang: responsible for working alongside the commercial team are tailored to the SEA market, especially Indonesia.
•    Research into emerging Taste Foundation Technology trends so Kerry is at the forefront of meat innovation in Indonesia.
•    Development of strong strategic relationships with key internal & external customer technical teams so a deep knowledge of processing requirements is obtained.
•    Establish and elevate Kerry Indonesia technical capability in Taste Foundation Technology to support customer projects and growth.
•    Work alongside with Category Buyers to build robust portfolio of raw materials to support Taste Technology Foundation. 
•    Responsible for Raw Materials and Process Improvements PIP projects to achieve savings.
•    Support whole Sampling Team & related stakeholders to achieve Kerry’s excellence and sustainability vision & mission.
•    To maintain smooth process around the Taste Team


Qualifications and skills


•    Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technologist, Chemical Engineering or similar field
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience with flavour process in encapsulation, emulsion, liquid & dry blending, also reaction process 
•    Experienced in managing flavour chemical and related flavour processes raw material category from analysis, comparison, and portfolio management.
•    Understanding intermediate level of sensory and analysis evaluation, able to operate SAP ERP system.
•    Intermediate knowledge in continuous improvement or Yellow-belt Six Sigma is an added value
