About the role

Supply Quality plays an important role in Kerry's ability to deliver quality that will satisfy our customer's needs and ensure that we supply the highest quality while also conforming to established requirements. Supply Quality Technologist plays a crucial role in supplier qualification process and risk assessment. The role will also involve in Communicating and implementing policies and procedures to ensure all tasks conform to the business needs, legislation and regulations applicable within the region and global customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible in ensure the compliance of raw material specification per legislation and food safety requirements globally
  • Responsible in communicating and coordinating raw material specification sign off with suppliers
  • Engagement with external SME and peers to support global raw material specification management
  • Support in raw material specification sign off with Internal cross functions
  • Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure all tasks conform to the business needs, legislation and regulations applicable within the region
  • Support in change management control and Supply Quality simplification initiatives
  • Prioritize initiatives and activities according to strategic importance, value contribution and business needs
  • Implement of strategy, project plans and KPIs, and communicate to global and regional stakeholders
  • Management of all enablement tools and interim solutions to ensure governance programs are adhered to
  • Continually evaluate, benchmark and trend process controls, food safety, quality and legislation compliance
  • Participates in brainstorming sessions that lead to innovative solutions/concepts which will aid projects and continuous improvement
  • Horizon scanning of emerging food safety, food fraud, sustainability sourcing and supply quality trends and provide recommendations to the organisation regarding risks and solutions involved in Supply Quality
  • Understand functional training needs, skills gaps and defining and delivering training programs
  • As required, may perform shadow audit to understand the CoE activity
  • As required, support supplier and raw material risk assessment and verification programme

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum Bachelor of food science, chemistry or related degree
  • Minimum 3 years experience in food safety and raw material legislation compliance
  • Good command of verbal and written English
  • Understanding of project management
  • Knowledgeable in raw material assessment and management
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and complaint resolution skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams at multi levels within the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Advanced level in MS Office, SharePoint
