Key responsibilities

 

•Support payroll processes and ensure compliance with established financial, legal and/or administrative requirements
•Handle payroll processes in co-ordination with Suppliers, Payroll vendors, Finance and Legal Counsel
•Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payroll data, assuring compliance with local country
•Support Finance on reconciling account balances for maintaining accurate account balances and complying with related policies, practices and/or regulations
•Coordinate reconciliation of monthly payroll transactions - staff pay, bonus pay-outs and statutory payments
•Investigate discrepancies of payroll information for ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing
•Respond to inquiries and help customers on payroll related issues
•Support Payroll Team Lead in facilitating meetings for identifying appropriate actions, developing recommendations and supporting team members; attend meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or receiving information required to perform functions.
•Support the design and delivery of the Employee Services model and operations across the business, including policy, procedures and processes
•Handle the provision of high quality administrative and transactional processing in the delivery of the people process lifecycle and HR calendar events
•Drive an effective and efficient way to deliver excellence in customer service and support Business on pay and tax issues, including long- and short-term assignees
•Participate in daily huddles to implement agreed actions for improving customer centricity and operational excellence
•Ensure agreed SLAs are met and that effective escalation processes are adhered to
•Participate in process improvement projects and implement global initiatives on an APMEA level
•Escalate issues as appropriate to Payroll Management & Employee Services Lead
•Manage metrics and service level agreements and support Business in executing process change and promote self-sufficient capabilities.
•Utilise all available resources and toolsets to investigate and resolve problems and ensure the most appropriate solution is identified

Qualifications and skills

 

•Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business or other relevant disciplines with minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Shared Services environment in a similar role 
•Payroll Management – experience in automated technical payroll function; preferably experienced in HRIS systems and other shared services tools
•Service Delivery Management skills are essential – customer service and basic problem-solving skills
•Excellent customer service focus and manner, demonstrating a sense of urgency in resolving issues
•Able to handle high volume of work & adapt to changes
 

Desirable Competencies:

 

•Experience in SAP SuccessFactors and other shared services tools
•Service Delivery Management skills 
•Ability to solve problems and make timely and informed decisions together with management
•Understanding of how and when to escalate issues
•Flexible and adaptable with excellent ability to work cross functionally within an organisation
•Clear and demonstrable experience of taking a customer-service led approach in a highly complex organisation
•Ability to influence and build good, working relationships with stakeholders
•Pro-active behaviour that demonstrates initiative and positive work ethic, to ensure activities are delivered to the required time, budget and quality
