About the role

Operations Executive reports to Operations Director and he/she will oversee the day-to-day operations, productions and staffing to reach production deadlines. The main responsibilities will be to achieve objectives which include maximise output and yield, uphold quality, reduce waste, and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with managers of other departments such as QA, procurement, and logistics to plan and coordinate production and implement corporate goals and policies.           
  • Provide training to staff & communicate the organization goals & vision.  
  • Support Plant supervisors and cultivate leadership values.          
  • Coordination of production schedule changes.   
  • Confine entry enforcement (safety).      
  • Assists in the development of production schedules with the Production Manager/ Superintendent so that maximum productivity (online & yield) is achieved, quality standards (shippable) are met, and customer delivery times/ dates are achieved.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Quality Control program been exercised to produce quality shippable products according to sales order to fulfil customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain the housekeeping and sanitation of the plant to comply with established standards. Responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety policy and another standard established such as HACCP, cGMP, AIB, HALAL, VET, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 and etc. 
  • Responsible for shift schedule to include workstation assignments, rotations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employment, and shift rotations.         
  • Maintain standards of environmental, health and safety which are consistent with corporate standards.  Responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety policy and another standard established such as ISO 14001, ISO 18001, RSPO etc.
  • Presents accurate and timely production shift report in a form for management use. Responsible for ensuring all production documents/checklists are completed such as CIP checklist, production monitoring sheets etc. 
  • Able to complete ad-hoc assignments/ projects given by production manager/ superintendent on time.
  • Able to take up projects that are improving the overall performance of the production

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Process engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, or any other engineering discipline with prior knowledge in Food Tech/ Food Science will be an advantage
  • Fresh graduate with good manufacturing internship experience or 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment preferably in food/ beverage industry
  • Computer literate (Microsoft application such as words, excel, power point & etc.)
  • Able to read and write Malay and English
  • Strong leadership skills, organizational and planning abilities, problem solving skills are essential
  • Independent and self-initiated learning
