About the role

The Recipe controller is a critical role in manufacturing. The role ensures that the manufacturing team have accurate and timely information and product specifications so that we can manufacture accurately and to the expectations of our customers.

Key responsibilities

  • New Product Introduction
    • RDA Develop a new product for a customer (new Business
    • Recipe controller links the technical to the physical (operations) in the SAP system.
  • Recipe Changes
    • Version changes that occur (i.e reduction of salt). These changes can be linked to customer requests or product improvement
  • Label Design and Maintenance
    • Maintain standard plant label template info
    • Design new label templates for specific customer requirements
  • The role requires to navigate systems and excel to achieve this.
  • In addition to these responsibilities the successful candidate will:
    • Support the commercialisation process to obtain accurate pricing
    • Work with supply chain and manufacturing to ensure correct version of manufacturing Bill of Materials is being used.
    • Manage the data to create factory PI sheets 
    • Work with procurement and supply chain to set up the correct master data for sub-contracting
    • Deal with ad hoc requests from other functions in the business

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control function
  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable
  • Over 3 years experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • High competency level in using systems including MS Office basic programs. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication Skills
  • Dealing with and managing through conflict
  • Extensive expertise, knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing function and ways of working
