About the role
The Research Development & Application (RD&A) Technician will be assisting the RD&A site lead in compounding, sampling and administrative tasks. This role is key in supporting development & commercialization teams which will directly impact project delivery and customer centricity. In addition, this role will help maintain the RD&A facility excellence, equipment reliability and compliance to expected GMP’s, health and safety standards. While supporting co-ordination of general administration and deliver high levels of daily support to the RD&A site lead.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for sampling externally to our customers and internally to Kerry sites.
- Perform compounding, processing and sample making within the wet and dry food ingredient products.
- To prepare golden standard samples for production
- Maintain raw material master list including Collection samples.
- Assisting with goods receiving and dispatching for RD&A
- Finished goods, raw material, packaging ordering and maintaining stock control, when requested.
- Navigating SAP and Salesforce network systems.
- Assisting in MDG work process and supporting creation of new FERT and RM codes
- Ensure Good Laboratory Practice manual expectations are met. Maintains record documentation, including upkeep of equipment, and general cleaning of work areas. Actively participates in quality improvement for the function.
- Performa housekeeping duties for pilot-plant and sample room.
- Ensure maintenance of equipment and RD&A area in general.
- Administrative support to RD&A Management team with data capturing, reports and presentation preparations and other ad-hoc administrative tasks
Qualifications and skills
- Minimum diploma in Food Sciences or any other related discipline
- 0-2 years experience in a similar role in food company and food processing.
- Knowledge in basic SAP and using shipping tools such as DHL, UPS and Salesforce will be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Fluent communication and writing skills in English
- Able to work independently and proactively as well as work under pressure
- Strong attention to details and technical accuracy
- Able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure the completion of tasks
