About the role

Kerry-Aatco's manufacturing site in Saudi Arabia is located at 2nd Industrial Estate, Jeddah. We are currently sourcing for experienced Production Officers - to be responsible for the day-to-day plant production operations and the achievement of the production plan - due to an expansion at our factory. We will be moving to a pattern of 3 shifts (7am-4pm; 4pm - 11pm; 11pm - 7am), with shifts rotating every 2 weeks, so the flexiblity to work in this rotating shift pattern is essential. Applicants need to have a minimum of 2 years' of production experience in a Food Manufacturing company, and must have previous experience supervising teams of Operators and Senior Operators. 

Key responsibilities
  • Control production process and communicate with related departments (Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure a smooth production run
  • Work together with the Production Scheduluer to arrange and review production schedule / planning for effective and efficient production process
  • Control and monitor daily production activities to reach target quality and quantity. Make sure that all activities are aligned with our systems and processes.
  • Protect the confidentiality of formula / batch sheets and equipment belong to the Company
  • Take part in regular meetings with the Maintnance team to review machine and equipment issues
  • Make sure all Standard Operating procedures and Work Instructions are run / followed
  • Ensure safe working procedures are followed in the Process / Finishing plant and Warehouse
  • Ensure plant efficiency and ensure yields are achieved
  • Ensure that your subordinates (senior operators & operators) receive sufficient training for their roles on processes / products (especially GMP / Food Safety, SOP / WI etc)
  • Lead in the development of new products / processes (NPI) as well as plant optimisation and improvement and coordinate with R&D team
  • Ensure communications from management are cascaded to your team / relevant parties
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve the manufacturing process through efficient operations and cost control. Focus areas for improvement could include Production Downtime Management; Scheduling and Production Process; People and Shift Management; WIP / Silo Management; and CIP & COP Procedures (managing cleaning schedule & times)

     

Qualifications and skills
  • Minimum Diploma - Bachelors in Engineering or related
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a production role in Food Manufacturing environment. Experience in dry blending is highly desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of GMP, AIB, etc. 
  • Any experience with SAP is a major advantage, but not essential. Proficency in MS Office is essential.
  • Good command of English (written and verebal) and Arabic
