About the role

Kerry has a permanent opportunity at its manufacturing site at Jeddah as a Material Planning Assistant Manager. In this role, you will be reporting to the Material planning manager and be responsible for the material ordering process and the management of the Purchase Order system. 

Key responsibilities

•    Manage and continuously review the Purchase Order System, to ensure it is accurate, up to date and consistently meets the requirements of the business
•    Ensure purchased materials to be meeting specifications
•    Purchase materials in line with inventory targets
•    Ensure availability as based on factory demand as per the agree KPI’s covering cost, quality, and service
•    Ensure timely response and effective communication of forecasts and purchase orders to suppliers
•    Check and authorise designated invoices for stock, raw, packaging, carriage items and other categories
•    Ensure documentation cycle is verified, to fulfil system, other involved departments and organization policy
•    Ensure that the weekly and monthly reports are ready to be reported to line manager on time for all categories within department
•    Close to local and global market circumstances, seasonality, crises and change with reporting showing effect on the organisation P/L
•    Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time

Qualifications and skills

•    A Bachelors degree , preferably in business or managements studies
•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience of buying / procurement within an ERP environment
•    Experience of fast moving consumer environments, for example FMCG
•    Excellent understanding of efficient materials flow and best practice
•    Experience in dealing with global suppliers
•    Strong track record of negotiating procurement / buying terms
•    High level of computer literacy, to include MS Power Point, Word, Excel and Outlook
•    Professionally qualified with a vocational qualification in English language, Arabic language is a plus
