About the role
This role plays a pivotal role in positioning and promoting Kerry's diverse product portfolio. It involves managing and maintaining existing accounts while actively seeking out new business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing new opportunities within their current accounts, leveraging creativity, value proposition selling, and customer management skills to support and grow existing platforms. Additionally, you will identify new categories where value-added products can be created.
This role also requires close collaboration with the Marketing and Beverage Innovation teams to architect customer ideas, interpret market trends, and design innovative products that drive overall category growth. and you will hold direct revenue responsibility.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve Sales & Budget Target for defined set of local coffee chains and independent coffee businesses across Coffee & Non Coffee Channel.
- Developing and managing local coffee chains and independent coffee businesses (existing & new accounts).
- Work in collaboration with the mixologist to introduce new product concepts to the market, in line with latest market trends for customers.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to conduct customer workshops/sessions or salons for local coffee chains and independent coffee businesses.
- Work in collaboration with Distributor team to conduct customer workshop, developing and managing accounts.
- Identify competitive landscape ie, competition, promotions, pricing trends & product positioning using sales & business development MIS Tools.
- Proactively works on account planning process, to meet performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one, three and five-year period.
Performance Measures:
- Achieves assigned sales quota in designated accounts.
- Meets assigned expectations for profitability–volume, revenue and business margins.
- Achieves strategic objectives defined by company management.
- Ensure high quality service and reporting standards are met.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings.
Qualifications and skills
- Preferably a Bachelor’s or higher Degree in Commerce/Hospitality or any related field.
- Preferably at least 5 years’ relevant experience in sales to promote branded products.
- Prior experience working with Distributors is an added advantage.
- Good to have brand activation experience and managing the process from a sales perspective.
- Business level English and Bahasa (oral and written).
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment and able to deal or manage ambiguity.
- Culinary F&B experience is an advantage.
- Ideally be beverage category trained so able to speak the same language as the target audience, stakeholders ie R&D Managers, Beverage Menu developers across the range of accounts.
- Commercial account management skills & new product development is a must.
- Proven track record in sales, self-motivated and driven.
- Ability to meet deadlines, a self starter, multi task with speed & accuracy abilities.
