About the role

 

This role contributes to the development of new scientific innovations within the Kerry RD&A team, focusing on Dairy and Culinary Dry (seasoning) technology. Applies highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in scientific Research and Development area of his/her specialisation.  Supports the business with analyses, tests and insights. This involves, feasibility studies, development and scale-up/production trials.

Key responsibilites

  • Responsible for product development & applications for Dairy and Culinary technology across all major End Use Market, customers and channels, with focus on Snacks and Bakery applications.
  • Interacts with various functions in order to accomplish project goals, including Taste/Flavor team, Operations, Sales, Marketing and End Use Market team. Align with business strategies, and a key part of EUM team(s) to deliver business growth.
  • Interacts and troubleshoots with customers on application concerns. Fosters relationships with peers at key accounts, building the image of the company as a leader in its field. Develops application knowledge within assigned categories and becomes recognised as a solutions partner by food product developers. Assists customers with technical issues that may arise.
  • Develops food system formulations and applications through demonstrated understanding of food formulation and chemical interactions. Run shelf life studies to ensure product stability and quality.
  • Product & Raw Material Library Maintenance & Implementation for Cheese & Dairy.
  • Participates in designated RD&A projects. Ensures appropriate documentation of experimental trials and outcomes to facilitate scale up and product transfer to manufacturing.

 

 

Qualifications and skills

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

 

  • Bachelors/Master in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Snack seasoning industry.
  • Prior experience of working with Bakery and Snacks applications.
  • Experience of working with Cheese and Dairy products is highly desirable
  • High sensitivity to sensory attributes
