About the role

 

Work Location:          Jakarta, Indonesia
Reporting To:            Senior Application Manager, BBD

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Adhere to agreed upon timelines; Outline and plan projects, obtaining all materials needed to meet project deadlines
  • Build and maintain a library of application specific flavors for efficient sampling and brief execution.
  • Maintains adequate stock of standardized “collection” products
  • Manage the flavour library in terms of stock replenishment, identifying expired flavours for replacement and update of the collection list
  • Keep the collection within the acceptable shelf life of the products (establish a general shelf life of the samples)
  • Internal sampling to RDA teams if necessary
  • Maintain a clean and efficient laboratory workspace, adhering to HACCP procedures

 

Flavour Collection Evaluation:

 

  • Preparing flavour samples for evaluation, conduct sensory evaluations of existing and screening potential library flavours by RDA, Marketing and Commercial
  • To get FG sample if necessary for evaluation
  • Development of a regular sensory panel for evaluation of finished flavours and raw materials
  • Leading the pre-screening of flavours process, sample preparations, Sensory ballot information summary and loading the info into the master file
  • Upgrade and maintain flavor portfolio in line with new developments and technical criteria.

 

Documentation of results:

 

  • Ensures all outputs are recorded according to established protocols. Documents all testing results and research notes in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and retrievable records of all formulas sent to clients in central database.

 

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Tech or similar field.
  • Open to fresh graduate or early career candidates working in a Food Ingredient or Flavour industry is an advantage.
  • Have good understanding on Product Regulatory, Dangerous Goods, MSDS, Packaging (Air, Sea), Cross-contamination mitigation, Customs.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Fluent in in both Local (Indonesia) and English Language.
