About the role

Work Location:  Jakarta, Indonesia
Reporting To:     Executive Chef, SEA Foodservice Chains
Travel:                25% within SEA

 

In this role, you will be leading our vision on Food and Beverage from a culinary perspective, through the eyes of the Food Collective and will be responsible for driving our reputation, sharing trends, creating a culinary culture, and inspiring food and nourishing life of our stakeholders, customers, and channel.

 

This is an important customer facing role that requires an in-depth knowledge and understanding of our customers’ business through the eyes of the brand and store operations model, allowing the development and delivery of winning solutions. You will form part of the Foodservice Chains Food Collective Team and collaborate with the team to achieve above market growth for our customers and to meet the aspirations of our 5-year plan. You will convince and delight our customers with winning concepts, leading them through the development journey and have experience to know that we can move and commercialize the winning concept into a commercially producible SKU, with the support of our RD&A, plants, and supply network.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing of menu and product concepts across food and beverage menus for Kerry’s customers regionally through the lens of our customers’ brand.
  • Build a triangle sales relationship with the EUM's and customers supply network to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Driving application of all technologies within a specific customer or geography within the region and across EUM’s and technologies
  • Nurture Chef skills and drive an all-encompassing food culture.
  • Provide insights that will help develop products/solutions for customers in the channel.
  • Accountable to approve the new concept developments generated for the customer of geography.
  • Develop and retain Key customer relationships across the customer base.
  • Work closely with R&D, Account Management and Business Development teams to architect customer ideas, interpret market trends and design innovative products that assist with overall category growth.
  • To be instrumental for change and deliver reputation enhancing marketing activity for the Kerry Brand and Food Collective positioning through your customer and/or geography.
  • Be Kerry’s food service expert in your market and capable of sharing trends and market insight both internally and externally.
  • Hold mutual responsibility for financial and sales performance in our channel.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Certificate/Diploma in culinary arts or equivalent academic study.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the Food Industry, Catering or Restaurant Environments.
  • Proven ability to build teams and lead providing strategic direction to Junior culinary team.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders in key accounts and internally and use these relationships to drive valuable business opportunities for Kerry and the customer, work cross functionally.
  • Expertise in food/menu innovation and commercial awareness.
  • A wide, existing customer network in Foodservice and experience working with B2B business model is a must.
  • Strong key accounts activation experience and capability in managing the process from a sales perspective.
  • Understanding and/or experience in store operations and go-to-market knowledge would be a bonus.
  • Demonstrate creative & innovative thinking, culinary, scientific, and technical expertise to wow and delight our customers.
