About the role

 

Work Location: Jakarta, Indonesia


Reporting To: EUM (End Use Market) Lead, Beverage


In this newly created role as Business Development Manager in our Beverage EUM (End Use Market) for the South East Asia market, you will be responsible for developing and growing the business by owning and leading the relationship with assigned clients, which includes developing, on-boarding, implementation and increasing adoption of Kerry technologies, ensuring retention and high levels of customer satisfaction overall. 

 

Your key indicators of success in this role will be the following:


•Long-term growth in identified accounts  
•P&L performance of the specific accounts (including R&D costs) 
•Win rate % with strategic customers (Sub- EUM) 
•Customer feedback 
‘System’ sales inclusive of AH&N (Applied Health & Nutrition) / Taste technologies 
•Pipeline conversion of identified opportunities

Key responsibilities

 

•Establish trusted and strategic relationships to help drive continued value of our products and services; maintain and develop customer success strategies and best practices to share with other commercial teams
•Communicate effectively with both internal and external teams to understand customer needs, maximize retention and growth, and communicate learnings
•Comply with all relevant Kerry systems/processes and collaborate with an experienced, multi-cultural Sales team to ensure we win in the marketplace
•Accountable for specific Key Account projects for global and regional key customers following the strategy
•Develop and lead regional development projects; define opportunities for differentiation and build clear value propositions for our products
•Review the customer journey, identifying how it’s supported, taking a consultative approach in helping clients overcome issues and achieve goals
•Facilitate interaction and workflow between project team members, including third-party service providers, to ensure deliverables are on time
•Prepare necessary documentation or visuals either with the support of the matrix organisation to develop impactful presentations to delivery embedded and collaborative stories
•Packaging the winning stories to support smaller accounts and the commercial team across the region as best practice
•Planning and prioritising strategic customer initiatives in conjunction with Sales Channel/ Geography Leadership
•Overseeing the execution of launch of Innovation platforms with strategic customers and sharing the learnings and insights from the same to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications and skills

 

•Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or Food Marketing with around 5-7 years of experience in Commercial, customer-facing roles 
•Background in Taste / Flavours specifically within Beverage segment is required, with a demonstrated track record of new business development in the SEA region, especially Indonesia, Philippines and Singapore 
•Strong verbal and written communication, strategic planning, and project management skills
•Analytical and process-oriented mindset’ must be comfortable working across multiple departments in a deadline-driven environment
•Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities, someone who is passionate and great at developing and delivering compelling stories
