About the role
The Supply Chain Assistant role helps with supply chain management and the primary responsibility will be to support those around you. This role is an entry level position into the supply chain world which gives the candidate the ability to learn specific supply chain practices and processes. As a Supply Chain Assistant, you will have the opportunity to grow your career and have a meaningful contribution into the team around you. This position will have a mix of day-to-day operational duties along with weekly and monthly projects.
Key responsibilities
- Support Supply Chain Production Planners and Raw Material Buyers
- Attend & participate in daily tier production meetings
- Provide analysis and follow-up to ensure all plant Service, Inventory and other KPI’s are met or exceeded
- Work Closely with Supply Chain Data Analyst to maintain clean Master Data
- Participate in Scrap at Risk Reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during weekly demand meetings to gather and analyze data on sales forecasts, inventory levels and production capacity to support an accurate production schedule
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and skills
- 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to interpret complex data
- Understanding of supply chain principals and techniques
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
