About the role

At our Jackson, WI facility we create dry beverage products that delight our customers.  We work hard, play hard, and give back to the community we work in through our Kerry employee engagement program. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be part of our supply chain team.  If you’re looking to build a career in supply chain with a team you can have some fun with, we might be the team for you.  As a Shipping Coordinator, you will:

 

 

  • Purchase at lowest cost consistent with approved quality, procurement and delivery standards.
  • Provide procurement and processing support for co-manufacturing functions.
  • Support other functions through audits, analysis, and procurement activities.
  • Participate in key process improvement and/or cost reduction projects.

 

Key responsibilities

The Purchasing Assistant is extremely important to us.  We will rely on you to develop safety stock metrics, minimum order quantities, and optimal quantities for raw material procurement.  As a team member you will identify requirements for order fulfilment, safety stock requirements and new product introductions.  Completion and negotiation of purchase order flow is a critical part of this role.

Qualifications and skills

To get the most of this role at Kerry you’ll need to come with knowledge as a purchasing ability to influence up, and we’d prefer if you had supply chain experience.  You’ll also meet these minimum requirements:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required. APICS Certification preferred though not required.
  • Do you have experience in manufacturing?  We prefer 1-2 years of experience as it will help jump start your career. 
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
