About the role

The primary focus of the Transport Planner is the preparation, execution, and monitoring of local delivery as well as export shipment planning. The role’s objective is to ensure that all shipments are booked in a timely manner, with orders delivered on time and in full.
Additionally, this role will support the Warehousing and Transport Planning SAP workstreams as superuser. This role will work closely with the Business Deployment Lead, Warehouse Manager and SAP project team.

The role will initially be based in Tuzla and will move to the new factory in Dilovası, Gebze once the manufacturing operations are established.
 

Key responsibilities

•  Liaise with Supply Planner and Customer Care team to support customer orders.
•  Liaise with Plant team to ensure inventory is sufficient for delivery.
•  Liaise with Warehouse for the issuing of shipping documents, finished goods transfer, monitoring the processing of container loading, and dispatch from the system.
•  Liaise with freight forwarder for the movement of containers; provide shipping documents (Delivery note, commercial Invoice) for shipment.
•  Coordinate with Quality for COA (Certificate of Analysis) as per shipment requirements and ensure stock release updates in the system by quality.
•  Creation and changes of delivery note, commercial invoice, entry of shipment cost, not billed report on daily, weekly & month-end closing.
•  Liaise with transporter for truck booking.
•  Generate shipment completion report.
•  Act as a Super User during the SAP setup procedure, actively participating in the setup process.
•  Support the Warehouse Manager in SAP setup and related tasks by providing English language assistance in meetings and preparations.
•  Utilize Warehouse Manager’s business knowledge to ensure effective SAP Super User training and support.

Qualifications and skills

•  Recognized Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
•  Minimum 1-2 years’ working experience in logistics/shipping/export function. 
•  Good command of English and Turkish.
•  Good working knowledge of ERP and MS Office application skills. Experience in SAP will be needed (warehouse and transport planning).
•  Possess strong planning and analytical skills and be able to take complex issues and break down actions for resolutions and working with tight deadlines.
•  A solid communicator who can build strong relations and is not afraid to challenge decisions when seeing better alternatives or potential pitfalls.
•  Possess strong business acumen with deep operational insight as well as an open nature and collaborative mindset that enables working cohesively with people from different functions and levels.
•  A motivated and driven individual with the core competencies required to succeed in a demanding and challenging working environment.
•  Good problem-solving and decision-making ability to enhance workflow efficiencies and effectiveness.


Location:   Initially based in Tuzla, moving to the new factory in Dilovası, Gebze once the production lines are established.
