About the role
The role will be responsible for a defined set of US accounts in the Meat End Use Market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong set of communication, sales and technical skills including a general knowledge of formulation, processing and application used within the industry. The combination of these skills will enable the candidate to understand customers challenges and recommend and sell specific Kerry solutions. The candidate should possess strong communication skills that enable them to work with customers procurement, culinary, R&D, technical and business management teams. The candidate should possess strong collaborative character attributes that allow for successful relationship building and influencing within Kerry and externally at the customer level.
Key responsibilities
- Uses knowledge of customers end-to-end processes and work across the customers organization to defend existing business and drive sales growth for Kerry.
- Generate ongoing sustainable sales by growing and maintaining highly positive relationships between Kerry and the customer.
- Work internally to communicate customers technical issues and opportunities. Effectively utilize Kerry resources to find solutions and be part of a team that collaborates within Kerry and at the customer level.
- Develops account plans, objectives, and strategies for assigned customer accounts along with volume and sales by product in order to understand the current status of your assigned region.
- Networking within the industry community and develop commercial relationships with customers and trade associations.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5-8 years experience in technical, R&D, or sales roles within the food industry.
- Knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in selling food ingredient products.
- Proven ability to work on cross-functional teams.
- Experience in budgeting, account planning, and negotiating pricing.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic input skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel (50%).
The typical hiring range for this role is $91,404.00 to $138,357.75 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
