About the role

- In this newly created role, he or she will play a critical role, for a Global Key Account in Food Service of Kerry APMEA business, in bringing together Commercial, R&D, marketing and application (chefs, mixologists and baristas) to -

  • generate insights,
  • identify menu gaps/opportunities and formulate strategies,
  • formulate concepts,
  • drive menu innovation,
  • develop application-fluent strategies,
  • engage with McDonald’s directly.

- Being customer-centric is a must. 

- This role will be a menu-first approach, identifying opportunities both core and LTO, leveraging Kerry’s manufacturing, technologies and R&D capabilities to deliver winning menu solutions.

- This role requires mobility. He or she will be based in Singapore at the Kerry APMEA Technology & Innovation Center, OR in Hong Kong at the Kerry Hong Kong office, reporting directly to Kerry APMEA Regional Account Director.

- Primary and initial focus will be on a Global Key Account in Food Service of Kerry APMEA region.

Key responsibilities

  • Captures category trends and insights for new product development and client’s menu innovation
  • Leverages insights to help identify consumer driven growth opportunities focusing on Core and LTO menu
  • Collaborates with commercial team to shape product development, and leverage on platforms and Foodservice trends
  • Lead applications in developing future business and industry leaders with strong foundations in Menu Design and Management.  
  • Leverage Kerry’s global, regional and local resources
  • Develop and build a library of products and programs that result in cementing Kerry as an Innovative and Strategic partner to the McDonald’s system as a pillar of our value proposition.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling 18-month menu innovation calendar and pipeline for engagement with the client’s account.

Qualifications and skills

  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, continuously evolving business environment and has creative approach to problem solving
  • Financial acumen to spend wisely to maximize ROI
  • Formulates concise menu platforms from ideas to complete solutions
  • Creates, executes and drive of new product platforms, initiatives, and formal plans
  • Envisions the big picture and is able to breakdown projects into implemental phases, given business priorities and considerations
  • Exhibits organizational inference and decision-making
  • Exhibits confidence and an overall positive attitude
  • Maintains a “take charge” attitude, persistence, tenacity, drive and focus on finding a way to accomplish objectives
  • Has experience in working in a matrix environment and understand the implications regarding managing different stakeholders
  • Know how to deal  with ambiguity and shows a high level of empathy
