About the role


Monitor and control the physical inventory and system inventory on SAP for all raw material and finished goods stocks to ensure accuracy on site and within the 3PL locations.

Key responsibilities



Key responsibilities of the role are summarized below and are subject to change according to business needs:

  • Weekly and monthly BI inventory reporting.
  • Preparation of monthly stock at risk sheets.
  • Analysis and action of aged and stock at risk inventory, including rework, return to vendor, extension, alternative use or disposal.
  • Co-ordinate cycle counts at the Hartlepool site.
  • Investigate any stock discrepancies fully within SAP to root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Review stock and/or picking strategies as appropriate.
  • Conduct monthly book to book reconciliations of stock held at third party locations, and physical audits as required.
  • Liaise with production, warehouse and 3PL teams to resolve inventory queries.
  • Co-ordinate and control stock takes in conjunction with Finance.
  • Manage on site kan-bans replenishment.
  • Control any stock disposals on site, ensuring appropriate authorisation.
  • Collate analysis of stock accuracy for reporting purposes.
  • Understanding of the costing system in SAP to validate the value of the inventory
  • Running daily job status report and circulating to the factory.
  • Reconciling of weekly labour report.
  • Preparation and production of the site weekly KPI stats pack.
  • Other Site month end financial reconciliations as required.
  • Produce reports & presentations as necessary to meet with management requirements.
  • Any other reasonable tasks or duties allocated to the post or as required by management. This list is not exhaustive and is designed to be an outline of the scope of the role.

Qualifications and skills

  • Ideally, candidate will be qualified to degree level.
  • Three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in working with SAP in a manufacturing context.
  • Additional experience in the food industry would be beneficial
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office including Advanced Excel skills)
