About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the Kerry team in Grasse, France

Key responsibilities

    Production:
Ensure the production of the manufacturing schedule, according to the quality standards of each product, in compliance with the control plan.
Actively participate in the analysis of the causes of production non-conformities, and propose solutions to efficiently reproduce the productions.
Measure performance through proper execution of production orders and monitor yields and losses.
Enforce good hygiene practices established in the company
Ensure that the controls put in place are carried out (cleaning, pre-cleaning, etc.)
Apply the rules of 5S and make them evolve by respecting the standards
Inform the Q.H.S.E. department and the N+ 1 of any degradation related to the work environment (floor, ceiling, wall)

     Reporting and communication:
Ensure feedback to users, employees and supervisor.
Communicate regularly the department's objectives and relevant indicators.
Analyze departmental indicators and react to trends.
Report monthly on the allocation of manpower by cost center.
Ensure that data is made available to management control.
Participate in the development of technical budgets by ensuring the lowest cost. 
Ensure the proper receipt of orders in the system, monitoring of supplier payments, proper execution of inventories and stock variances.

Ensure safety, hygiene and respect of the environment in the workshop:
Enforce the rules of safety at work and ensure that safety standards are met by educating his employees to use appropriate and recognized means.
To present to each person having to work in the workshop the safety devices and the safety procedures (in particular fire etc...)
To ensure that the personnel has at its disposal and wears the personal protective equipment 
Respect, when establishing the work schedule, the rules of rotation on the workstations established in collaboration with the occupational medicine 
Ensure the application of the good gestures and postures taught 
To be a force of proposal as regards improvement of the working conditions and to rely on the members of the E.R.P. Committee and the C.H.S.C.T.

Ensure the good condition of the equipment and machines, their use and correct maintenance by the team
To warn the actors of safety in the company, the person in charge of the H.S.E department of any risk of accident 
To declare work accidents and record incidents according to the procedures established in the company
To enforce the rules of respect for the environment 
Ensure the elimination of waste according to the procedure in place
Ensure that energy consumption (water, gas and electricity) is economical
To be a force of proposal as regards improvement of safety, hygiene and environment

     Quality system:
Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the quality system. 
Participate in the improvement of the quality system

 

     Participate in cross-functional projects:
Implement corrective or preventive actions.
Participate in work groups and meetings involving the activities of the maintenance department 

Qualifications and skills

 

Diploma or experience:
Agri-food engineering degree IAA (or equivalent) supplemented by a minimum of 5 years experience in a production manager position in the food industry.

 

     Behavioral skills:
Seasoned manager, able to make decisions.
Sense of responsibility and team development.
Change management and organizational skills

 

     Training related to the job:
Crisis management, POI and Product recall.

Chemical risks
